God's Incomprehensibility

God has created us in such a way that only he knows us completely. We don't even know our own hearts. God has revealed himself sufficiently to us through Scripture. We can never know God completely. We grow in knowledge while on this earth through the study of his word. In heaven, we will continue to grow in our understanding of who God is as he reveals more and more of himself in eternity.

In contrast, those who do not know God on earth will spend an eternity apart from him. Instead of the glories and wonders of being in his presence, unbelievers will spend an eternity of regret.

1 Cor 2:0-11 - But, as it is written,

l“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,

nor the heart of man imagined,

what God has mprepared nfor those who love him”—

these things oGod has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even pthe depths of God.  For who knows a person’s thoughts qexcept the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

Our God is mighty; he is an incomprehensible God.
