Endure

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:1-2

God does not talk in terms of the best life for you, something that you hear from false preachers. He talks about enduring and discipline. We are to run the race with endurance, through trials as well as when things are going well. The race that is set before us is God’s providential plan for our lives. As we run this race, life, we are to look at Jesus. His example should encourage us and give us hope. Jesus endured to the point of giving his life for us.
