God’s Plan

We are most comfortable when things are going according to plan. We can then relax because we know what to expect. We know what's coming next.

How do you react when things don't go according to your plan? When things go awry, we get angry, frustrated, depressed, etc. We may even get to the point of questioning God.

Proverbs 16:9- The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.

Proverbs 19:21 - Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Planning is not a bad thing. But what if whenever things don't go according to our plans, we stop, pray, and trust that whatever is happening must somehow be part of God's plan. Even when the unimaginable happens, we pause and acknowledge our faith and trust in our loving Heavenly Father. Not doing so says the opposite to God - I don't trust you.
