Immerse Yourself In Your Gift

14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers. - 1 Timothy 4:14-16

We all have gifts from God. For those who are his children, spiritual gifts that we are to use to build up the body, the church, and to glorify him. Pray that the Lord will reveal our spiritual gifts so that we practice them and immerse ourselves in them. We are created to do the good works that God prepared before we were even born. The gifts are there, waiting to be used. We’ll know we are using them because the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to what he is doing through us. We’ll know.
